A motorist with a suspended licence was arrested at a RIDE check in Kawartha Lakes.
According to the OPP, the RIDE check was established on Pleasant Point Road on Monday (Nov. 25).
An officer approached a vehicle driver as it entered into the area and the ensuing investigation indicated that the driver has a suspended licence. Further investigation revealed that there was also an outstanding warrant, police say.
Christopher Sitarz, 55, was arrested and charged with driving while under suspension, make a false statement and operate a motor vehicle without insurance.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Jan. 7.
