10th Annual Seniors’ Christmas program returns to Durham Region

Durham Regional Police officers will make stops in Brock Township once again as they reach out to residents at long-term care homes this festive season.

Beginning next week, officers will bring gifts and chat with residents at long-term care homes throughout the region. As many seniors may be alone during the holidays, officers want to remind them that they are valued members of the community.

As part of the program, DRPS officers will be visiting Lakeview Manor in Beaverton at 10 a.m. on Dec. 6 followed by Chartwell Bon Aire in Cannington at 2 p.m. that same day.

On Dec. 12 at 10 a.m., officers will visit Dre’s Lodge in Sunderland, followed by a 2:30 p.m. trip to Reachview Gardens in Uxbridge.

For information about when officers will visit homes in other parts of the region, visit drps.ca.
