A patient at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in police custody briefly escaped Tuesday (Nov. 12) evening.

While few details have been released, a social media post from the DRPS notes that the man escaped around 5:20 p.m. resulting in an extensive search of the area.

“He was located at approximately 7 p.m. and returned to the facility,” the post reads.
