Santa Claus is on his way to Brock Township.
His first stop will come in Beaverton on Friday (Nov. 15) night for the village’s annual Santa Claus parade.
It gets underway at 7 p.m. from the Beaverton Curling Club and will travel down Main, Simcoe, Osborne and Bay streets before heading back down Main en route to the curling club.
Many downtown merchants be hosting open houses throughout the evening and the Beaverton Lions Club will be firing up the holiday lights at Alexander Muir Park as the parade goes by.
And, as always, Santa will be stopping by the fire hall after the parade to meet with children, who will also receive some holiday treats from firefighters and a hot chocolate from Lions members.
Those taking part in the parade should arrive at the curling club no later than 6:30 p.m.

The Santa Claus parade in Cannington is set for Saturday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. and this year’s theme is ‘Dr. Seuss Christmas.’

Santa will be visiting Sunderland for the parade on Saturday, Dec. 14, which will also feature free public skating at the arena for a couple of hours leading into the 7 p.m. start time.
