Environment Canada issues weather advisory for much of area

Area residents are being urged to prepare for some snow Monday (Nov. 11).

Environment Canada has issued a special weather advisory for Durham, York, Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough.

“Snow will begin early Monday morning and continue through the evening. Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are possible by the time the snow ends late Monday night,” reads the notice for Durham and York.

This snowfall is due to a developing low pressure system which will track south of the lower Great Lakes on Monday. There remains some uncertainty regarding the track of the low, and the expected snowfall amounts.”

As much as 10 cm of snow is expected in Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough.
