Oktoberfest fundraiser generates more than $1,000 for Brock CHC

A recent Oktoberfest fundraiser generated more than $1,000 for the Brock Community Health Centre.

The event has held Oct. 26 at the Beaverton Legion and featured live music from Adam Chow, Johnny Lewis and Chuck, Frankie ‘Squeeze Box’ and The Hornets in addition to a menu of sausages and sauerkraut.

All proceeds from the event supported the CHC’s capital campaign, which has the end goal of building of a 21,000-square-foot health care facility for the residents of Brock Township and surrounding areas.

“The new centre will accommodate organizational programs and services.  It will also provide a community health hub for Durham’s northern communities, increasing access to allied health care services and community organizations,” reads a media release from the CHC.
