Two men are facing charges after police in Kawartha Lakes reportedly seized a quantity of purple heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine as part of an investigation.
In a media release, police noted the that the arrests and seizures put “a significant dent in the supply of deadly drugs to Lindsay.”
According to police, investigators stopped a vehicle travelling on Highway 35 South shortly before noon on Wednesday (Oct. 23) and arrested its two occupants.
Police say that officers seized nearly 12 grams of purple heroin, more than 10 grams of crack cocaine, more than two grams of cocaine in addition to hydromorphone and more than $2,000 in cash.
Michael Anderson Bollers, 28, of Toronto has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Ricardo Bollers, 31, of Oshawa was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He is slated to appear in Lindsay court on Nov. 28.
