A Lindsay woman is facing charges after a man was allegedly slashed with a knife during a neighbor dispute.
According to police, two women who live adjacent to each other on Russell Street West began arguing at the front of their homes around 6:45 p.m. Monday (Oct. 7).
“A male acquaintance of one of the women heard the argument and attempted to intervene to calm the situation. One of the women produced a knife and began waving it at the man,” a media release reads.
“The woman thrust the knife towards the man, cutting his hand in the process.”
Police were called and reportedly arrived moments later.
The woman who brandished the knife was arrested and has been charged with uttering a threat to cause death, possession of a prohibited weapon and assault with a weapon.
She’s slated to appear in Lindsay court on Dec. 5.
“The male victim did not require medical attention for the small wound on his hand,” the media release reads.
“In order to protect the identity of the victim and witness of this incident, the identity of the accused person is not being released.”
