Two people are dead following an accident on Simcoe Street in north Oshawa Thursday (Oct. 3) morning.
While few details have been released, a social media post from the DRPS at 8:45 a.m. notes that the two-vehicle collision occurred near Coates Road and the Purple Woods Conservation area.
An elderly female in critical condition has been airlifted to a Toronto hospital.
Simcoe Street is closed in both directions between Coates Road and Scugog Line 4. According to Mark Berney, Scugog Fire Chief, the closure is expected to remain in place until close to 5 p.m. for the investigation.
