Police have called off the search for a man that had allegedly committed an indecent act at a park in Bowmanville last week.

According to police, officers were called were called to Scugog Street Neighbourhood Park by a concerned citizen around 6 p.m. on Sept. 17 after a woman had witnessed a man sitting in a swing and touching himself over his pants while watching children play at the park

In an update Monday (Sept. 23), the DRPS noted that the man is a vulnerable adult who functions at the level of a six-year-old and the behaviour exhibited was not an indecent act.
