Six charges for alleged impaired driver following two accidents in Lindsay

A Woodville man is facing a total of six charges after allegedly causing a pair of accidents while driving impaired.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, one of the occupants of a vehicle travelling north on Albert Street in Lindsay was injured after the driver side-swiped a parked vehicle shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.

“The vehicle did not stop and continued travelling on Albert Street where it rear-ended a second vehicle,” reads a media release from police.

“The vehicle fled from the area but was found by police a short time later, parked at a local hospital.”

Police say that officers located the suspected driver and placed him under arrest.

Daniel Robert Davis, 26, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle with a blood, alcohol concentration above 0.08, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and failing to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm.

He is slated to appear in Lindsay court on Oct. 17.
