A Brock Township woman has been charged after allegedly robbing an elderly male in Beaverton.
According to police, the 86-year-old victim was in his motel room shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 8) when the woman reportedly knocked on the door.
“He opened the door and she pushed past him, telling him she needed to use the washroom,” reads a media release from police.
“As he tried to make her leave, the accused pushed the victim to the ground and robbed him of personal belongings then fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. The victim received minor injuries.”
Police say that a responding officer observed the vehicle a short distance away and was able to arrest the female without incident.
Trisha Cook, 29, has been charged with robbery and fail to comply with probation.
She was held for a bail hearing.
