Uxbridge woman among those charged with impaired driving in Peterborough County

An Uxbridge woman was among four people charged with impaired driving in Peterborough County over the weekend.

According to the OPP, officers stopped a vehicle on Centre Line at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 7) and the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Laurie Cruise, 54, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

She is scheduled to appear in Peterborough court on Oct. 8.

Others charged include a Trent Hills woman who was pulled over by officers responding to a traffic complaint on Highway 7 shortly after 2:30 p.m. Friday.

The vehicle was stopped on Ashburnham Drive and the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol, police say.

Jacqueline Walsh, 60, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

She is slated to appear in Peterborough court on Sept. 26.

A man from Duoro-Dummer Township was charged after officers responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Lynch’s Rock Road at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Jeffrey McIlmoyle, 50, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

He is scheduled to appear in Peterborough court on Oct. 3.

A Selwyn Township man was charged after officers stopped a vehicle on Chemong Road at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Frederick Coupland, 24, was charged with charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and red light – fail to stop.

He is scheduled to appear in Peterborough court on Oct. 8.
