The DRPS has requested some help from the public to locate a missing 36-year-old vulnerable male from Whitby.
John Ghazzawi, 36, was last seen last night leaving his residence in the area of Montgomery Avenue and Carnwith Drive West in north Whitby at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 5).
“The vulnerable male left on foot and left behind all his personal belongings,” reads a media release from police.
“Members of the Public Safety Unit and members of Central West Division will be searching the area today for any information regarding Ghazzawi. Family members advised that this is out of character for him and they have concerns for his wellbeing. In the past, he was known to frequent Heber Downs Conservation Area.”
He is described as male, white, 6’4” tall, thin build and long brown curly hair, a long brown beard and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black tank top, grey cargo shorts and possibly no shoes or footwear.
