A two-year-old child has been airlifted following an accident in Clarington Thursday (Sept. 5) morning.

While few details have been released, the DRPS noted in a social media post that the accident occurred in a residential driveway near Parry Avenue in the community of Hampton.

The intersection of Bowmanville Avenue and Taunton Road was closed temporarily to serve as a landing zone for the helicopter.
