Two public beaches in Brock posted by health department

As the summer break winds to a close, a pair of public beaches in Brock Township have been posted by the health department.

The north and south beaches in Beaverton are the only ones in the region to be deemed unsafe for swimming in the upcoming week due to elevated bacteria levels.

“The health department reminds the public not to swim in beach water for at least 48 hours after heavy rainfall, as bacteria levels can increase due to run-off,” reads a media release from the health department.

This is the final week that public beaches will be test in Durham.
