Police continue search for vulnerable man last seen in Uxbridge

Police continue to search for a missing vulnerable man who was last seen in Uxbridge back in July.

Benjamin Everson, 31, left the residence of a family member in Uxbridge on July 11 and has not been heard from since.

Officers have followed up several possible sightings of Everson from members of the public, however none of the sightings have been verified or confirmed, police noted in an update Thursday (Aug. 29).

“It is believed he may have taken a bus to Oshawa. It is unusual behaviour for him to lose touch with his family,” reads the initial media release from police.

Everson is described as a male, white, 6’ tall, about 170 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. He was last seen carrying a backpack.

“He has no access to money and his family is concerned for his wellbeing. He was recently renting a room in Ajax,” the media release reads.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police service. In Durham Region, call 1-888-579-1520.
