A man is dead after a head-on collision in Pickering Thursday (Aug. 29) morning.

Durham Regional Police day the collision happened on Taunton Road, west of Brock Road in Pickering at approximately 8:18 a.m. Thursday.

Another male driver is injured, according to police.

“This area will be shut down for some time,” say police.
