Eleven-year-old airlifted after Uxbridge accident expected to make a full recovery

An 11-year-old girl that was airlifted to hospital following an accident in Uxbridge on Thursday (Aug. 15) night is expected to make a full recovery.

According to her father, the youngster should be headed home from Sick Kids’ Hospital at some point later today (Aug. 18).

“She has a fractured clavicle and a small fracture in her pelvis as well as some cuts and severe bruising but she will recover from it all,” he said.

“Her mother is pretty banged up but will also be okay. Thanks to all the first responders and witnesses that were there to help.”

While police have released few details, the accident occurred at regional roads 23 and 47 shortly after 6:30 p.m.
