Police searching for suspect in downtown Beaverton vandalism spree

Police are investigating after buildings in downtown Beaverton – including the DRPS police substation – were vandalized over the past few days.

This past weekend, officers discovered several windows were broken at the DRPS station and the nearby CIBC building.

On Wednesday (Aug. 14), officers discovered graffiti with anti-police messaging on the plywood that had been put up in place of the damaged windows at the police station.

Later that day, officers also responded after a Canadian flag was set on fire at the Beaverton Cenotaph.

“Political related graffiti was also found at the site,” reads a media release from police.

The male suspect is described as white with red hair wearing dark clothing and tan coloured boots. His face was covered with a bandana.

Anyone with information about these incidents are asked to contact police at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 2675.
