Police are investigating the theft of a 2004 Freightliner M2 truck from a business on Highway 35 South in Lindsay.

According to police, video surveillance of the property captured a lone male suspect walking around the business shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 5).

“The truck is observed on video being driven from the property less than ten minutes later,” reads a media release from police.

The stolen vehicle is white in colour and had the Ontario license plate ‘AY55380’.

“Investigators would like the public’s assistance to identify the male suspect who was captured on video surveillance prior to the truck being stolen,” the media release reads.

He was wearing a dark coloured baseball hat, black t-shirt with an Echo Ltd logo, green khaki cargo shorts, and white or grey shoes. The man may have a handlebar-type moustache and goatee-style beard and is wearing sunglasses, police added.
