Three teens are facing charges after a stabbing in Bowmanville Friday (Aug. 2) night.
According to police, officers responded to a stabbing in the area of Longworth Avenue and Swindell Street in Bowmanville shortly after 11 p.m.
“A 20-year-old male was located with serious injuries. The victim and several suspects were involved in an altercation which resulted in the victim being stabbed,” reads a media release from police.
“The suspects fled from the scene and were located with the assistance of Air1. The suspects were arrested a short time after.”
The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center in critical condition.
Two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old – all from Clarington – were charged with aggravated assault and possession of weapons dangerous. They were released on a promise to appear.
