Police identify Oshawa shooting victim

Police have identified the 18-year-old man that was killed in a shooting at a townhouse complex in Oshawa Thursday (Aug. 1) night.

Devon Patten was pronounced dead at the scene, a complex on Pentland Street, after police received reports of multiple gunshots.

“Several suspects were observed fleeing the scene,” reads a media release from police.

The case is Durham’s sixth homicide of 2019.
