Traffic complaint leads to charges for Kawartha Lakes driver

A Cambray resident is charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand after police received a traffic complaint earlier this week.

Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to the area of Elm Tree and Glenarm roads at approximately 2:45 p.m. Tuesday (July 23) for a traffic complaint.

Police say the subject vehicle was observed a short time later and, following an investigation, the driver, 59-year-old Lynda Lewis of Cambray was arrested and charged with Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on Aug. 22.

The OPP would like to remind motorists that traffic complaints, including possible impaired drivers, can be reported at 1-888-310-1122.
