Police in York Regional Police are seeking public assistance to locate a missing teen from Markham.

Ayra Nawaz, 17, was last seen on Sunday (July 21) shortly after noon, walking from a plaza located in the area of Cornell Park Avenue and Bur Oak Avenue.

“She has not been seen or heard from since,” reads a media release from police.

“Police and family members are growing increasingly concerned for her well-being.”

Nawaz is described as South Asian, 5’4” in height with a medium build. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a gold North logo, black track pants and black-and-white sandals with a gold Michael Kors logo
