The Orillia detachment of the OPP is warning the public following several reports of suspicious persons in the Westridge area.
“The OPP have received several complaints of suspicious persons in the Westridge area, where members of the public have been approached by a male or observed a male acting in a suspicious manner,” reads a media release.
“The male suspects vary in description, ranging in age between late 30s to mid-60s. It is unclear whether the incidents are related at this time. The investigation is ongoing.”
Police are reminding the public to be aware of their surroundings at all times.
“If they observe someone acting suspiciously or someone approaches them while behaving in an unusual manner to call the police,” the media release reads.
“A detailed description of the suspect and, if possible, suspect vehicle should be noted, including make and model of the vehicle with licence plate.”
