Three people are facing numerous charges after allegedly attempting to use a fraudulent credit card at a Clarington business.
According to police, officers were called to Easthill Outdoors in Orono on Wednesday (July 10) after the clerk reported someone was attempting to use a fraudulent credit card to make a large purchase.
“Police arrived and located two suspects in the store and one in a waiting vehicle. All three were arrested and officers located a quantity of drugs and fraudulent identification inside the vehicle,” reads a media release from police.
Paul Ramirez, 33, of Delfi Road in Mississauga is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, fraud under $5,000, personation to gain advantage, three counts of unlawfully sell or possess counterfeit mark and breach of probation.
Sandeep Takhar, 33, of Rochefort Street in Kitchener is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and fraud under $5,000.
Alexis Todd, 25, of no fixed address has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
