A pastor from a Toronto church has been charged with sexually assaulting a member of his congregation.

According to police, an adult male was being counseled by the pastor from Kingsway Community Life Centre in Toronto since 2016.

“For the past few months, the victim felt the accused was making sexual advances toward him. In March 2019, while at the accused’s home in Pickering, the victim was sexually assaulted by the male,” reads a media release.

Police say an investigation was launched after the alleged reported the incident to police.

Richard Brown, 48, of White Cedar Drive in Pickering, has been charged with Sexual Assault. He was released on a promise to appear.

“Investigators would like to ensure there are no other victims,” the media release reads.
