
A 24-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing his landlord in the face with a pair of scissors.
According to police, the landlord confronted the tenant about excessive noise around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday (May 10).
“The tenant picked up a pair of scissors and struck the landlord in the face, causing a deep gash,” reads a media release.
The tenant fled from the house as police were contacted and the landlord was taken to hospital for medical attention.
“Officers located the tenant later in the evening and attempted to take him into custody. The man assaulted one of the officers and tried to run away but was arrested after a short foot pursuit,” the release reads.
The suspect has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with intent to resist arrest and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.
His name is not being released by police to protect the identity of the victim.
