Georgina man charged after allegedly turning over cannabis at RIDE check

A 68-year-old Georgina man has been charged after an officer allegedly found marijuana during a RIDE check in Kawartha Lakes.
According to police, the vehicle was stopped around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday (May 4) on Fenel Road.
“The officer detected a strong odour of cannabis from the vehicle. The driver turned over approximately 20 grams of marijuana,” reads a media release from police.
Vincent Zammitti has been charged with drive vehicle with cannabis readily available.
