The DRPS is investigating an accident in Whitby Wednesday (May 1) morning that left one person with serious injuries.

The accident occured around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Rossland Road and Garden Street.

One of the drivers was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto, while the other was taken to a local hospital.

The intersection will be closed in all directions until further notice.
