
Police have identified the victim of Durham’s third homicide of the year.
According to police, officers responded to the Pickering Recreation Centre around 6:30 a.m. Sunday (April 7) regarding a male with life-threatening injuries.
“Officers arrived and discovered the male with gunshot wounds. The male was pronounced dead while en route to a Toronto trauma centre,” reads a media release from police.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Matthew Ruscitti of Pickering.
“There are no suspect descriptors at this time, police are appealing to the public for any information that would assist them,” reads a media release from police.
