Canada Protection Plan
Work underway to re-open Cannington Home Hardware

If all goes according to plan, the Home Hardware location in Cannington will re-open early next month.

The owners of Home Hardware in Fenelon Falls, Dave and Nancy Jackett, have taken over the local store, with some minor renovations underway.

“We’re excited to bring Home Hardware back to Cannington and serve the community,” said Paul Sadler, manager of the Fenelon Falls store, in an interview Monday (March 18) morning.

“This has been many months in the making and we’re thrilled about making this happen.”

Prior to its closure in the spring of 2017, the store was a staple on Cannington’s main street for more than three decades.

“We know how much this store meant to the community and we know that people have missed it,” Sadler said, noting that the store should re-open in early April, with plans to hire two or three employees.

Those interested in submitting a resume are asked to send an email to dave@ffhh.ca

The business will also have a presence on social media, with pages already launched on Facebook and Instagram.

When asked what residents should expect, Sadler was quick with a response.

“Great customer service and a great selection of products.”
