Suspicious death investigation in Oshawa ruled a homicide

Investigators from the Wellington County OPP detachment are taking over a suspicious death investigation in Oshawa that has now been deemed a homicide.

According to the DRPS, a City of Oshawa employee driving on Stevenson Road North just south of Raglan Road West observed a body on the west side of the road shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday (March 13).

“When he got a closer look and confirmed it was a deceased male, he called police,” reads a media release.

“Officers attended and confirmed it was the body of an adult male with obvious signs of trauma.”

While few other details about the case have been released by the DRPS, the OPP has confirmed that the body was that a 43-year-old man from Kitchener.

Jason John Brown had last been seen alive in Harriston, part of the Town of Minto, on Tuesday (March 12) night.
