Police discovered the body of a deceased man near Lindsay Friday morning (March 15) after entering into a missing person investigation the night before.
Kawartha Lakes Police launched a missing persons investigation at 11 p.m. Thursday (March 14). The investigation continued throughout the evening hours. At 9:10 a.m. Friday, a male was found deceased in the area of Stoney Creek Road near Highway 35 in the former Ops Township.
“It is believed to be the body of the 58-year-old missing person. The investigation is continuing, although foul play is not suspected,” reads a media release from police.
“Any members of the public with information about this incident is asked to contact our police service.”
Kawartha Lakes Police had shared details on social media at approximately 10 a.m. Friday about a missing man last seen near Stoney Creek Road at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday.
Shortly before 11 a.m., police published a post on social media stating the missing individual had been found deceased.
