Two suspects are in custody, two others are sought following a robbery involving weapons at an Orillia business Monday (March 11) night.
OPP officers responded to the call at a James Street address just after 11:30 p.m. and a heavy police presence was noted in the area, including members of the Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit and Canine Unit.
“As a result of the initial investigation, two male suspects are in police custody facing numerous charges including robbery and weapons related charges. Orillia OPP continue to investigate as two additional male suspects are still being sought in relation to this event,” reads a media release from police.
“Police believe that this is a targeted occurrence and that there is no threat to public safety at this time.”
The names of those charged have not been released.
