Ringette Ontario, Sunderland Stingerz help students get ready for Special Olympics

Ringette Ontario recently teamed up with the Sunderland Stingerz to help students at Brock High School get ready for a Special Olympics competition.

Representatives from both organizations visited the high school in late February, donating equipment and prizes for participants and leading a workshop on the basics of the game.

“We started off with some lessons then spent 20 minutes playing a scrimmage,” said Marian Agyei-Gyamera, the marketing and communications co-ordinator for Ringette Ontario.

“The students learned a lot and we all had so much fun.”
