Atom Wild ‘confident’ despite losing first game of OMHA semifinals

Following a loss in the first game, the Atom Wild will be looking to bounce back when its semifinal series against Wingham shifts back to Brock Township this weekend.

The Wild lost Game 1 in overtime Sunday (Feb. 24) on the road but will host the next two games in the series on Saturday (March 2) at 3 p.m. and Sunday (March 3) at 2 p.m. Both of the games will be held at the Beaverton Thorah Community Centre.

“We’re still confident this is a series we can win,” said head coach Scott MacLeish.

Brock advanced to the semifinals with a series win over Norwood. The Wild lost the opened but rallied to win three straight games, closing out the series on home ice Friday (Feb. 22) night.
