Uxbridge man airlifted after two-vehicle collision

A 22-year-old man from Uxbridge was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision.

According to Durham Regional Police, the collision occurred Tuesday (Jan. 29) at Regional Road 47 and Owen Road, near Uxbridge Concession Road 6. DRPS initially reported the incident, noting the closure of Regional Road 47, shortly after 12:30 p.m., although the time of the collision has not been explicitly stated.

As of 3:30 p.m., Regional Road 47 remained closed between Owen Road and Concession Road 6.

Police say a 25-year-old woman from the other vehicle was taken to Uxbridge Hospital with minor injuries.
