Online campaign raises more than $3,100 for Brock Community Food Bank

Organizers of an online fundraising campaign collected a holiday haul for the Brock Community Food Bank.

For the third straight year, Adeline Khoo Pettit, PeggyLee McLean and Colin Theodoru – the administrators of Facebook pages Brock Ultimate Deals and Beaverton Treasure Finds – called on the community’s support and raised more than $3,100 through online auctions and donations.

Along with a cheque, organizers also dropped off a number of food items, household goods and toiletries over the weekend.

“I’d like to thank the members of Brock Ultimate Deals and Beaverton Treasure Finds, as well as all of the organizations, businesses and residents who rallied behind us to make this campaign overwhelmingly successful,” Khoo Petit said.

“It was truly beyond our expectations.”
