Community delivers for Christmas Wish program

To the editor:

Our 27th Brock/Norma Green Christmas Wish was another huge success. The community of Brock Township has shown us once again that there are no limits to what we can do to help our own when they are in need.

This year we were able to assist 85 families, including 161 children. We hope that everyone that needed help in our community applied to our program.

Once again, we had many local businesses, organizations, schools, churches and individuals step forward to support us. This support came in the form of monetary donations, clothing donations, toy donations and sponsoring families.

As always, our nearly 30 volunteers were amazing. There were lots of people who have helped us in the past and many helping for the first time. As organizers, all we have to do is ask and before you know it, the shopping, sorting and wrapping is being done.

St. Paul’s Anglican Church with Rev. Canon Ted and the church wardens make it all possible each year. They accept the families and take care of the deliveries. They also give us a place to run the program.

On behalf of our many organizers and volunteers, I would like to shout out a great big THANK YOU to each and every one of you that help to make this program such a success.
