Police searching for suspects following home invasion in Lindsay on New Year’s Day

Police in Kawartha Lakes are searching for two suspects following a home invasion in Lindsay on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1).

According to police, two males forced their way into a Peel Street home in Lindsay shortly after 9 p.m., damaging the exterior door.

A quantity of cash was allegedly stolen after a brief struggle with a resident, though no medical attention was required.

The two males fled the area on foot and are believed to have entered a waiting vehicle.

The first male is described as tall, thin, dressed all in black wearing a grey bandana and holding a baseball bat. The second male is described as short, wearing a red bandana.
