Schools in Fenelon Falls placed on a ‘hold and secure’

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board has confirmed that a pair of schools in Fenelon Falls were placed in a ‘hold and secure’ this morning, though little information has been shared on the issue that led to it.

The board posted the information to social media around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 19), with an update minutes later noting that the provision has been lifted at both Fenelon Falls Secondary School and Langton Public School.

Constable Carrie Lanning of the Kawartha Lakes OPP told The Brock Voice that the measures were put in place as officers conducted “an active investigation.”

Check back for more information as it becomes available.
