Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion that occurred over the weekend in Uxbridge.
According to police, the trio were charged following the execution of search warrants at area properties.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 9) at a home in the Reach Street and Testa Road area. Police say the suspects entered a bedroom and attacked a teenage victim with an expandable baton and metal pipe.
“An adult in the residence heard the suspects and then attempted to push them out of the house. A brief scuffle occurred before the suspects fled the scene,” a media release reads.
Abdullah Haq, 18, of Yale Lane in Markham, Jahid Golan, 18, of Nation Court in Uxbridge and a 17-year-old Uxbridge male have each been charged with break and enter with intent, assault with a weapon, disguise with intent, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
They were all held in custody pending a bail hearing.
