OPP officer charged with uttering threats in relation to domestic incident

A veteran OPP officer has been charged in relation to a domestic incident.

According to a media release, members of the professional standards bureau of the OPP launched an investigation on Dec. 11 into an incident involving the off-duty officer.

The unnamed provincial constable, who is a 32-year-member of the Central Region Highway Safety Division, has been charged with one count of uttering threats.

“The officer continues to be on extended leave and will be scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Kawartha Lakes on a future date,” the release reads.
