Officers with the DRPS visiting long-term care homes

Members of the DRPS will soon be making the rounds to spread some holiday cheer to seniors.

Now in its ninth year, the outreach program sees officers bring gifts as they stop in to chat with residents of long-term care homes.

“Many seniors are alone during the holidays and front-line DRP officers want to remind them they are valued and important members of our community,” reads a media release.

Locally, visits are slated for Lakeview Mannor in Beaverton (Dec. 7 at 1:30 p.m.), Bon Air Long Term Care in Cannington (Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.) and Dres Lodge Retirement Home in Sunderland (Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.).
