UPDATE – The DRPS announced Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 21) that the woman has been located, safe and sound.
Police continue to search for a 20-year-old vulnerable female from Clarington who was last heard from a week ago.
According to Durham Regional Police, Hannah Benoit was dropped off at a bus stop at Harmony Road North and Taunton Road in Oshawa by her family so she could get to her co-op work placement on Nov. 13. She did not arrive and texted a family member. The last contact with her family was on the evening of Nov. 14 through a text.
Police say Benoit has left for periods of time before, but has never been away this long without contact. Her family is concerned for her safety.
Benoit is described as female, white, about 5’5″ tall, weighing approximately 120 lbs., with long brown straight hair, wearing a brown faux fur coat, black leggings and black boots and carrying a multi-coloured purse.
