The DRPS has issued a correction after reporting last week that $8,000 worth of drugs had been seized during a search of a Brock Township home.
“The actual street level value seized was $450. DRPS would like to apologize for this error,” reads a media release issued Monday (Nov. 5) morning.
According to police, officers executed a search warrant on a residence on Thorah Road Concession 1 Thorah on Saturday, Oct. 27 following an investigation that was initiated in early October.
Following the search, eight suspects inside the residence were arrested. Police allegedly seized cocaine, methadone and drug paraphernalia.
Trisha Cook, 28, of Twmarc Avenue in Beaverton and Bradley Dennis, 56 of Lakeridge Road in Port Bolster have each been charged with two counts ofpossession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine, methadone). They were both released from custody following the arrest.
Police say that four other people were also charged with drug-related offences and released but their names have not been made public.
