The Brock Township Library Board has hired its new CEO.
In a press release issued over the weekend, board chair Joe Allin announced that Brian Harding will soon take over the position.
“Through a diverse academic and employment experience, Brian Harding has a proven track record in library administration, leadership, project management, and innovation,” it reads.
His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, a Master of Information from the University of Toronto and certification from Laurentian University’s Northern Leadership Program.
“He brings experience as CEO of the Greater Sudbury Public Library system and as a project consultant with BiblioCommons, a Toronto based firm supporting technological innovations in Canadian public libraries,” reads the press release.
He takes over for Susan Dalton, who passed away suddenly in June.
“While library patrons continue to lament the loss of Susan Dalton whose dedicated service led the Brock Township Library until her sudden and untimely death last summer, the Brock Township Library Board is confident that Mr. Harding will embrace the library system’s established commitment to public service, the celebration of literacy and technological innovation,” reads the press release.
