Police are searching for a 41-year-old man who reportedly stabbed another man in Brock Township on Sept. 1.
Durham Regional Police say Peter McDowell of no fixed address is wanted for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possess weapons dangerous to public peace and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
According to police, on Sept. 6, the victim informed police about the stabbing that allegedly took place a few days prior.
The victim reportedly told police that at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 1, he was at his residence with the suspect as well as other parties when a verbal altercation took place and the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim before fleeing. The victim sustained a serious injury, according to police.
McDowell is described as male, white, 41 years old, thin build, and short, dark hair. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing black tear away pants and no shirt.
Police ask McDowell to contact a lawyer and turn himself in to police. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked not to approach him but to contact police to report his location.
